JOYA Barcelona Contemporary Jewellery Fair is the main international event in Spain that aims to present excellence in art jewellery from around the world.

The quality shown in its previous five editions and the international character of it, with the participation of schools, such as the Rietveld Academie of Netherlands, galleries, including AME Gallery from Hong Kong, and world wide recognized artists such as Giampaolo Babetto, Noon Passama, Liana Pattihis, Jessica Turrell, Yannick Mur and José Marín, turn JOYA Barcelona in the most important art jewellery fair in the world.

Throughout the days of the fair, the artists will present their creations to an audience who will be able to see and enjoy the latests trends in jewellery, like the brooch, which tends to succeed in almost every collection, and understand more about this discipline.

In this edition, JOYA Barcelona will have 62 individual artists, 52 artists on 7 collectives, 45 artists represented by 5 galleries, 37 students selected for 8 schools and 75 artists in the OFF JOYA side events. In total, 295 artists from 40 different countries (Italy, France, Taiwan, Australia, Greece, Japan, Korea, Thailand, etc.).”

For me Joya Barcelona was the event which two years ago, as a communication assistant of jewellery designer Maria Tsimpiskaki, introduced me to the wonderful and most expressive world of Contemporary Jewellery. This year I am extremely honoured to be chosen from Joya Barcelona 2014 jury to present my collection “Katoptron: Reflections of memory” to the audience of the fair, among a large number of talented well known, as well as emerging artists and students. The most certain thing is that this show is going to be a high precious experience!
